Playtime

Russell had preschool this morning, but then we had a quiet afternoon at home.  Sometimes, on quiet days at home, the walls kind of close in on you.  But today was not one of those days.  This afternoon, I truly enjoyed the time with my sweet little ones.

Meredith played by working on tummy time.  Well, I don’t know if she thought of it as playing.  She seems to be a typical baby in the not-liking-tummy-time aspect.  But I did get a cute photo before the fussing!

Russell and I had lots of good playtime doing all kinds of things – coloring, peek-a-boo (at what age does that get old? just curious), bubbles, and playing with cars and trucks.  Or “uck,” as Russell calls them – he says that for a truck or a car – we’re working on it Smile

Staying at home with a baby and a toddler is hard.  But, like our small group reminded each other last night, the days are long, but the years are short.  And fun afternoons like today make it more than worth it.
