CC Girls + Dolls Day

I've decided to let each of my older kids have a play date with just their CC friends from their class, without their siblings involved. Today, the girls from Meredith's class came over after CC for a girls and dolls play date. (Paw Paw took Paige and Russell to his house for the afternoon, and Daphne napped.)

There were 5 girls here (including Meredith), all either 6 or 7 years old. They were so sweet and had such a good time together, and all of them were thrilled to be able to play. I don't know how often I'll be able to make this happen, realistically, but I'm so glad we could at least do it today!

Brynlee and Evie introduced us to some kid pop singer we've never heard of, so Ellery and Meredith were watching her music video:

Such a fun afternoon! Totally worth the little bit of effort I put in. Next, I promised Paige her girls can come play :) 

CC Valentine's Day Party

The day before Valentine's Day, our CC had a party during lunch hour. Crafts, valentines, pizza, desserts, photo booth, and playtime - couldn't have been better!

Birthday #36

Birthday breakfast, no school, homegroup :)  It was a wonderful day with so many favorite people and just the little joys of this sweet life.

Father-Daughter Dance

Paige and Meredith (and probably Jason too!) have looked forward to this dance all year. This year, the girls went to the Friday night dance. (The church puts on 3 dances - Friday night, Saturday lunch, and Saturday night, and they all sell out.) All of their CC friends and our good friends the Gs went on Friday night also, so they had a total blast!

Before the dance, I had fun doing nails, hair, and lipgloss :)

This hilarious little girl needed her nails done and a "fancy" dress also! She'll get to go next year.

Art Museum Field Trip

We're studying Wyeth, O'Keefe, and American history in CC currently, so another CC mom put together a field trip to the art museum to see Wyeth, O'Keefe, and paintings depicting American history! We had 4 docents and split into 4 groups for the hour-long tour. The kids were good and engaged and asked great questions.
